The Bhangra in the Burgh Executive Committee of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania is proud to present our second annual Bhangra Competition on November 8th, 2008.
This Competition is an opportunity for different communities to come together to showcase the best
dance teams around the world. Bhangra in the Burgh has grown into the largest student run event at
Carnegie Mellon, attracting a sold-out crowd of 2,500 people and raising over $5,000 for charity. Due
to the Competition’s popularity, growth, and outreach, this year we hope to raise even more money
for our local charity, Homeless Children’s Educational Fund of Allegheny County (HCEF), and to impact
over 35,000 people through our promotional eforts in both the Pittsburgh community and in other
universities nationwide. We invite you to help us go above and beyond with Bhangra in the Burgh
2008.
